Deye GE-F256 – 257kWh Outdoor Compact Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

The Deye GE-F256 is a fully integrated outdoor battery energy storage system (BESS) designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. It combines high-performance LiFePO₄ battery technology, an intelligent battery management system (BMS), advanced thermal management, and comprehensive fire protection in a single IP55-rated cabinet, offering a reliable, scalable, and high-performance solution for renewable energy storage, peak shaving, backup power, and microgrid applications. It is an ideal choice for factories, commercial buildings, EV charging stations, and grid-scale solar projects.

The GE-F256 delivers 257.23 kWh of rated energy using 16 LiFePO₄ battery modules with 16.08 kWh capacity each, arranged in a high-voltage architecture with 819.2V nominal voltage. Its intelligent design enables efficient energy transfer while reducing system losses, ensuring excellent overall efficiency and long-term reliability.

The system is built for demanding commercial environments: it supports 157A recommended, 180A continuous, and 285A peak discharge current (for 15 seconds), making it excellently suited for high-power applications – such as demand charge reduction, load leveling, renewable energy smoothing, and emergency backup power. With a lifespan exceeding 8000 cycles and a 10-year warranty, the GE-F256 provides excellent return on investment over its entire lifetime.

Safety is a fundamental feature of the GE-F256. The cabinet integrates a comprehensive protection system: aerosol fire suppression system, water fire alarm, CO gas detection, active ventilation, and explosion-proof venting – providing multi-layer protection for critical energy infrastructure. Intelligent air cooling maintains optimal battery temperature, ensuring stable performance across a wide temperature range from –30°C to +55°C.

Designed for seamless integration with Deye hybrid inverters and PCS systems, the GE-F256 supports both AC- and DC-coupled energy storage solutions. Multiple cabinets can be connected in parallel, allowing the system to scale from a single 257 kWh unit to multi-megawatt-hour energy storage installations for industrial facilities and microgrids.
