Solar power, storage, and blackout protection in a single device
The Deye SUN-29.9K is a reliable energy hub for higher-consumption homes, farms, offices, and small industrial facilities. It manages solar panels, high-voltage lithium-ion batteries, the grid, and, if needed, a diesel generator—all at once. It keeps supplying power even during blackouts, so you don’t have to rely on the grid.
Why it’s worth it
- High solar capacity: up to 59.8 kWp of solar panels can be connected. The 3 MPPT inputs support up to 6 strings in total, making efficient use of roof surfaces with different orientations.
- High-voltage battery, lower losses: handles a battery voltage range of 160–800 V, with 2 independent battery inputs. Maximum charge/discharge current is 100 A (50+50 A).
- Smart energy management: battery charging and discharging can be set across 6 programmable time periods. Store energy during cheaper periods and use your own power during more expensive ones.
- 100% unbalanced output: the three phases can be loaded independently of each other, a major advantage for real-world household and commercial loads.
- Strong off-grid performance: in off-grid operation, it can deliver up to 1.5 times its rated power for 10 seconds, so starting motors and compressors is never a problem. Up to 200 A of continuous current can be passed from the grid to the loads.
- Expandable system: up to 10 inverters can be connected in parallel both on-grid and off-grid, and multiple batteries can also be paralleled. The system can grow along with your needs.
- Retrofit for existing solar systems: with AC coupling, an already operating solar system can be upgraded with battery storage.
- Generator support: energy from a diesel generator can also be stored in the battery.
Outstanding efficiency, rugged design
Maximum efficiency is 97.6%, European efficiency is 97.0%, and MPPT efficiency is above 99%. The IP65-rated enclosure operates between -40 and +60 °C, making it suitable for outdoor installation. Built-in protections cover overvoltage (Type II DC and AC surge protection), insulation resistance, and residual current, with optional arc-fault protection (AFCI) available on request.
Always at hand: remote monitoring
The system can be monitored and controlled in real time via a mobile app over WiFi, 4G, GPRS, or Bluetooth. The built-in LCD display assists with on-site inspection.
